Nice, beefy, and well-tuned!, February 21st, 2014 08:13 pm By: David Locky(Piper ) Read my other reviews
I love my Dunbar Millenium. It must be the beefiest practice chanter our there and feels great in-hand. The tone is quite true, in my opinion, and works well with a Walsh or Pipe Dreams plastic reed. I use one the foam rings to soak up moisture. I use a light beeswax-type lubricant to make assembling and disassembling the chanter easier. Highly recommended! There may be chanters with better tone but, for an all-around PC,the Dunbar I hard to beat. The hempless joint makes maintenance a breeze. The tone is a bit brash to me but still well in tune with itself. All reeds I've tried worked well. No complaints with the feel of it or hole spacing. , July 22nd, 2012 12:04 am By: steven hill
My favorite practice chanter, sounds great and the finger hole spacing is just right. Also, I have the one with the water trap in the top which makes life so much easier for me since I am a very wet blower! I\'ve used walsh reed but I tend to overblow it, so I switched to a gibson reed. They both sound excellent in it though! When I first started learning bagpipes I didn't want to have to fight with my gear. I went to the Dunbar practice chanter because of its reputation for being durable and reliable. I was not disappointed. Another fine Canadian product. I never have to fiddle or fuss with it. I chose the full size which translates quite well to the bagpipe chanter. I highly recommend getting a water trap in there as well. Saves a lot of hassles. Excellent, November 26th, 2010 02:31 pm By: Fred Arnold(Piper ) Read my other reviews
This is awesome for beginners as the polypenco is thick and durable. It will remain new looking. The rubber O rings make it easy to maintain, no hemp required. Just remember to separate the two sections to let it breathe out... Great practice instrument!, November 26th, 2010 01:15 pm By: Jack Williamson(Piper Open) Read my other reviews
This is a great practice chanter. It can sound great with practically every reed and it is great for anyone. It is indestructible and will last throughout any abuse , October 5th, 2008 01:22 am By: Shawn Husk
