The Ross synthetic zipper bag has been re-designed. The new Ross bag has a suede-like, red exterior that offers more grip and makes it more like a hybrid hide/synthetic pipe bag. The bag requires no seasoning. The angled zipper is easier to pull and requires only a dab of lubricant at the end.
Ross offers a 2 year warranty on the bag.
This listing does not include the canister system.

In my opinion the Ross bag is the best available. I have used other synthetic bags as well as hide bags and neither held air nearly as well as the Ross bags. The exterior of the Ross bags closely match the feel of hide and the construction lends itself well to controlling moisture build up. I found the Ross bags a bit tricky to install as opposed to other synthetic bags, but the small amount of fussing involved is definitely worth the trouble. I will not use any other bag going forward. After switching to a Ross suede bag, I no longer need a canister system. It breathes incredibly well. It's also comfortable and very easy to "tie in" the stocks.. no hose clamps needed. Best Bag I've Used, December 18th, 2013 09:08 pm By: Lynn Blair
I absolutely love this bag. The suede gives it all the advantages of hide: great feel, better control, non-slippery, and easier starts and stops without any of the maintenance hassles. The bag is highly breathable, perfect for a wet blower like me. After a playing session with just a Moose valve and tube water trap combination the drone bores and all the reeds are nice and dry. The angled zipper keeps it out of your way. As an added bonus there was definitely an enhancement in the tone of the instrument over the Bannatyne bag I was using previously.
The only minor issues I ran into were sealing the blowpipe stock in the collar (which I had to use a bit of putty to get an airtight seal kind of like on the old-fashioned tie-in bags) and the backward angle of the drone stocks was a bit uncomfortable at first. I got used to it, but some might not like this. That said, these are as I said minor issues and more annoyances than anything that do not affect the performance of the bag.
In short: I wouldn't use any other bag. The Ross is the best of all worlds. So great for moisture!, February 16th, 2013 05:52 pm By: Sean Lowry
I have to agree with my uncle John that these bags are great. I like the feel of the suede, and the moisture passes through unlike some other bags. With a moose valve, I don't need anything else. Another plus is how easy it is to install. The BEST Synthetic Bag!, February 7th, 2013 02:03 pm By: John Dennis(Piper ) Read my other reviews
After trying several different synthetic pipe bags, both hybrid and non-hybrid, finally selecting the new Ross suede pipe bag has made my playing so much more enjoyable and consistent. I have 3 of these on each of my sets of pipes, and find them the most comfortable pipe bag yet. What is even more significant to me is the moisture control ability. I play without a cannister but with moose valves, and the suede material lets some moisture pass. Being a wet blower, the reeds stay dry. The bag also has a sheepskin feel and vibrates well. What a fantastic find for me and many others in my band. , March 10th, 2011 06:29 pm By: Andrew Stewart(Piper 4) Read my other reviews
Had mine set up in no time and no issues so far. A great pipe bag! , October 2nd, 2009 04:30 pm By: Graeme McCombe
Very good bag to use. Coupled with the canister, moisture problems should be solved. Great bag, October 30th, 2008 09:48 pm By: Patrick McLaurin(Piper ) Read my other reviews
Great bag. Install is easy enough, zipper airtight. Used both zippered (small extended and medium) and non-zippered. At 150 lbs. 6' - the small was too small, medium is about right.
