Rob's specially formulated woodwind bore oil developed to penetrate deep into African Blackwood to protect both the wood and the natural oils within.
There are no mineral or synthetic ingredients to plug the pores of the wood.
Use on a regular basis to protect your instrument from cracking.
Bonus Use: Bore oil also works great for cleaning sticky tape gunk off your chanter. Try it out!

It actually absorbed into the wood of my bagpipes after 24 hours!
It also has a great fruity smell, kind of like lime. Bore Oil, March 9th, 2018 12:09 am By: ADAM LINDSAY(Piper ) Read my other reviews
Soaked right in to the RGHO2 pipes, pleasant smell and not greasy. No other product I'd trust., July 21st, 2017 10:31 am By: Tristan Baird(Piper ) Read my other reviews
There is nothing more confusing than trying to research methods and products to use for maintaining and oiling your ABW pipes; and my pipes are too important to me to risk anything that will damage or harden on them or go rancid.
This product takes the guess work out of the process. I don't have to worry about whether its a drying oil, or if I've added too much (or too little) vitamin E to the almond oil.
This is easily the cheapest insurance policy money can buy.

Kinnaird Bore Oil is the best I've used in 47 years of piping. I live in an arid area with low humidity and hot summer days. I maintain 3 sets of blackwood pipes and practice chanters, so I go through a lot of oil with two treatments each per year. The Kinnaird product smells good and is readily absorbed into the wood. Other oils get rancid and smell like petroleum products, but this one doesn't. I highly recommend it. , October 17th, 2008 01:11 pm By: Maureen Ellis
Recommended to my daughter to maintain pipes. Works beautifully with the cleaning rod and pull through swab. , October 5th, 2008 12:53 am By: Shawn Husk
This is all I use in my pipes. I oil about three times a year. This stuff actually soaks into the wood and it will not go rancid. If you go to the Bore Doctors website you can read all about how this oil actually feeds and nourishes the wood, instead of just sitting on top of the wood. A+++
