It also has a great fruity smell, kind of like lime.

There is nothing more confusing than trying to research methods and products to use for maintaining and oiling your ABW pipes; and my pipes are too important to me to risk anything that will damage or harden on them or go rancid.

This product takes the guess work out of the process. I don't have to worry about whether its a drying oil, or if I've added too much (or too little) vitamin E to the almond oil.

This is easily the cheapest insurance policy money can buy.

Kinnaird Bore Oil is the best I've used in 47 years of piping. I live in an arid area with low humidity and hot summer days. I maintain 3 sets of blackwood pipes and practice chanters, so I go through a lot of oil with two treatments each per year. The Kinnaird product smells good and is readily absorbed into the wood. Other oils get rancid and smell like petroleum products, but this one doesn't. I highly recommend it.

This is all I use in my pipes. I oil about three times a year. This stuff actually soaks into the wood and it will not go rancid. If you go to the Bore Doctors website you can read all about how this oil actually feeds and nourishes the wood, instead of just sitting on top of the wood. A+++
