Daniel uses these from time to time. He says they are good. They sit snugly into he drones. No worries on losing them...unless he misplaced them Perfect and Affordable, February 21st, 2014 08:14 pm By: David Locky(Piper ) Read my other reviews
These work perfect and are very affordable. I bought two sets because I suspect one or two will walk away... Lisa Hurtubise, September 25th, 2013 08:28 pm By:
Just got some of these corks with my last order! I always seem to lose them, so need to replace them every once in a while. Great to keep in your pocket/sporran while on parade. Also end up lending them to other pipers when needed... sometimes not getting them back. That's ok though, I can always get more at Kinnairds! Must have for sporran, September 9th, 2013 05:36 pm By: John Dennis(Piper ) Read my other reviews
For me and my band, I make sure every piper has a set in his/her sporran for parades and gigs. Why? Should someone have a drone reed fall in to their bag, the quick fix is to plug the drone. Trouble tuning a drone, or a reed misbehaving? Plug the drone prior to your parade or performance. An ounce of prevention here. This is required for my bandmates! They will plug your drones. Just about anyone can benefit from a set of these in their pipe case, makes tuning a lot easier and can take some of the stress off of the lungs during long practice sessions. Just get them, they will come in handy at some point. Helps tune a band!, April 1st, 2011 11:09 am By: Peter Hraber
These are very helpful for setting chanter pitches in a pipe-band context. We play in the chanter reeds, then set their pitch, then tune our drones. It saves all the stop and start of manually shutting off the drones, and gets us playing together, and in tune, more quickly than without. I used to use earplugs and they always fell out. Then i found these and they are amazing. Must have, November 26th, 2010 01:06 pm By: Fred Arnold(Piper ) Read my other reviews
A must have for all pipers. The drone stoppers will be necessary for the beginner pipers when wishing to only play the chanter and not loose all the air in the bag. Also good when purposely wanting to shut off drones to focus elsewhere, without having to move the bridle down on your drone reeds. A big time saver! Make sure to insert well, they could pop out on your neighbor... , September 20th, 2010 08:30 am By: Blair Campbell(Piper ) Read my other reviews
A must for new pipers, plug the drones and open them up (one, then two, then all three) as your wind and technique improve. Also handy for tuning drones by yourself, as well as quickly plugging one off if it refuses to co-operate when you’re about to perform. Consider the Maintenance Kit for your Bagpipes rather than purchase items separately. Nice corks, October 7th, 2008 01:14 pm By: Danielle Degoski(Piper 2) Read my other reviews
These corks stop the air from coming out of my bag EVERY TIME!
