This hemp works well and I use it in places that are 'hidden'. It is less 'greasy' or waxy than the black and of a finer guage. It is easier to use than the black on chanter reeds. You Also Need This, April 20th, 2012 07:39 pm By: iain McLaughlin(Piper ) Read my other reviews
Sooner or later you will need some yellow waxed hemp for your pipes. This is just the thing for hemping your chanter reeds, or your drone stocks, or your chanter, or maybe even your neighbours cat... who knows? A spool of this should be in every piper's case. I prefer the black waxed hemp for stocks, but this thinner hemp is good for the reed staple. It gives more finesse for reed height adjustments. , September 20th, 2010 08:35 am By: Blair Campbell(Piper ) Read my other reviews
Don’t waste your time with unwaxed hemp, this is far superior. hemp, November 9th, 2008 11:24 am By: Ryan Ohare
Just like the unwaxed version this is a great product. I prefer the prewaxed though because it's a great time saver. , October 7th, 2008 09:08 pm By: Shawn Husk
Excellent hemp. Saves you from hand waxing.
