Great product, December 3rd, 2018 12:45 pm By: Tina Stalker
We purchased this for our son as he seems to want more than one or two reeds. Every time he switches out his reeds they are ready to play. No mould, not dried out...just right. this is great, December 3rd, 2018 09:56 am By: Ryan Moore
if you're like me and like to have a couple of reeds on the go (one that's just past its prime, one that you're still working in, and another 'just in case') this is perfect.
Check it every once in a while and ensure that the system has enough moisture, but it's kept reeds for me in great condition for just when I need them. Keeps them playing, January 7th, 2018 07:11 am By: Tom Garcia(Piper Beginner none) Read my other reviews
With sub zero temps outdoors and the furnace running, this keeps my reeds safe from drying out. Never sounded better!!!, April 26th, 2017 09:31 am By: James Haslip(Piper IV) Read my other reviews
Never used a humidity system before, and after a few days to get everything balanced in the system- my pipes have never sounded better!
Paired with the Pipers Pal Reed Protector it can't be beat! Glad I bought another one, October 20th, 2015 07:35 am By: David Alexander
I had the original design (sans clip) when it first came out, lost it a little bit ago, have gone through umpteen reeds, never found a suitable case for them. Finally broke down and bought another. This is a must-have item! Piper, October 1st, 2013 07:33 am By: Rudi Driesen(Piper student-piper) Read my other reviews
Can\'t give a review because I don\'t have one...
but it looks great to have 4 reeds ready to play :) , July 22nd, 2012 12:10 am By: steven hill
I have to say, I like the piper\'s pal reed protector much better. The pellets seemed to dry out much easier in this unit than the reed protector. This also might be due to the fact that I don\'t check the moisture level in this unit as much! I think if it was a little more airtight, you wouldn\'t water it as much. Nice to have a few reeds ready to use at any time. Saves time getting the pipes from the case into playing shape. It also seems to make the break-in time for new reeds a little shorter (although that may just be my imagination). A Must Have, October 7th, 2010 03:28 pm By: John Bergen
These are great, in particular with the new clip. Keeps safe, hydrated and ready to use. A Must Have, October 7th, 2010 03:28 pm By: John Bergen

Again I insist that my students keep this in the pipe case for the back up reeds. Until the new device was provided, I just had a large rubber band around the case to insure it stayed closed and did the job it was designed to do. The case seems to work for all the type of reeds I've used. , February 27th, 2010 06:57 pm By: Ian Richmond(Piper ) Read my other reviews
I bought one of these to keep my personal reeds (as opposed to the band's reeds) in playing condition. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to close tightly enough, which causes the moisturizing material to dry out very quickly. Also, the method of holding the reed is not very secure. The little plastic pegs are even too thick for some reed staples. On the whole, I have not found it a very satisfactory way to store reeds.
