I got the McCallum version when I ordered an it looks quite nice with some decorative turning and such. It works very well, too -- it can even fit on my smallpipes chanter. That said, it feel flimsy compared to my tank-like Dunbar reed cap! Must have!, February 16th, 2013 06:02 pm By: Sean Lowry
Always found my reeds would go moldy until my uncle told me I had to remove my chanter from my pipes and put on a chanter cap. My blowpipe is removed at the end of every session to allow it and the bag to dry out properly. I use the Piper's Pal Reed Protector to keep the chanter reed moist, and one of these to protect the blowpipe flapper valve. Reed Protector, October 14th, 2009 07:15 am By: flagz2 Flaglor
