I remember Taveners Fruit Drops from many years ago -my grandmother would buy these for us as a treat. I was browsing the web and found this site sold them so I bought several cans. My taste buds are much older now but they recognized the flavor right away! I have enjoyed Taveners Fruit Drops since I was a child back in the 1950s. They taste just so good as they did then: not too sweet, not too sour. This is one of the few products the quality of which has withstood the test of time. If you like fruit flavored hard candy, you'll love these. Recently I recalled a wonderful hard candy I used to eat when I was a child 60 years ago, and fortunately one of my brothers remembered that they were called Taveners. I recalled only the shape, the fruit flavors, and the fact that they were packed with powdered sugar to prevent sticking. Imagine my surprise when I found them on the internet at a bagpipe supplier in Saskatoon! Anyway, after I was unable to complete my order online, Kinnaird contacted me and offered assistance and later even gave me free shipping for my troubles. The candies arrived, and they are just like I remembered, only now I can appreciate their quality better. They are remarkably smooth and even-tasting, as well as delicious!
